Tight end Blake Bell agreed to a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys, the team confirmed on Wednesday.
Bell has 38 receptions for 424 yards in 65 games (19 starts) over five NFL seasons with four teams.
He was utilized primarily as a blocker last season for the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs as he had just eight receptions for 67 yards. Bell had one catch for 9 yards in the Super Bowl triumph over the San Francisco 49ers.
Dallas is pursuing tight ends after 11-time Pro Bowler Jason Witten reportedly agreed to terms with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Bell has also played for the 49ers (2015-16), Minnesota Vikings (2017) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2018).
The 28-year-old Bell was known as the "Belldozer" in college when he was a quarterback at Oklahoma. The 49ers selected him in the fourth round of the 2015 draft.
